Earlier this week, Governor Youngkin waved away any concerns about former President Trump’s Project 2025-inspired plan to “reign in bureaucrats” by firing deep state operatives cruelly ensuring the continuation of basic government functions.
Glenn proved unbothered by Trump’s plan to patriotically decimate the federal workforce and upend the lives of countless public servants. As he said during the Governor’s Advisory Council on Revenue Estimates (GACRE) meeting this week, “there are fabulous opportunities for folks to find a new employer in Virginia.”
We applaud Glenn’s lack of empathy for Virginia’s over 140,000 civilian federal employees. Glenn has always been focused on the economy, but that’s more about securing tax cuts for his big corporate buddies, and not really protecting the boring jobs of several thousand Virginians.
When confronted in the parking lot about the imminent elimination of his leftist “job,” a deep state mole walking from his office to his car was noticeably surprised.
“What?” he said, fumbling with his briefcase. “I’m just trying to get home. ‘Deep state mole’? What even is that? I’ve worked here for 25 years. You just stepped on my shoelace.”
Clearly this walking psy-op wasn’t ready for our reality check.
Meanwhile, Glenn remained excited about the possibility of so many long-time federal employees losing their jobs and countless Virginians forced out of their chosen careers.
We here at Spirit of America are proud of Glenn’s bold stances. He not only tacitly endorsed Project 2025’s effort to eliminate federal jobs, but painted a picture of an idyllic future where thousands of specialized workers who have dedicated decades of their lives to unique policy fields will have no trouble immediately finding work elsewhere in Virginia.
Sounds easy enough!
It should come as no surprise that Governor Glenn has a soft spot for Project 2025. He appointed one of its authors who called for dismantling the U.S. Department of Education to a seat on the George Mason University Board of Visitors and has proudly refused to remove her.
Courage, thy name is Glenn.
