Glenn Shares Inspiring Labor Day Message With Southwest Virginians: “I know this side likes illegal drugs and fentanyl.”

September 4, 2024

BUENA VISTA, VA – During a stop this week at the Buena Vista Labor Day celebration, Glenn was greeted by the adoring crowd as a returning hero. Unfortunately, the cheers of his many absent supporters were drowned out by the unpatriotic, disrespectful boos and leftist chants we’ve come to expect from deep-blue Southwest Virginia.

But Glenn is a joyful warrior, and standing firm at the podium, he came prepared to speak about issues central to the Labor Day holiday. Namely, attacking immigrants and sharing the following positive message with those in attendance: “I know this side likes illegal drugs and fentanyl.”

Now, we know the snowflakes on the left will try to spin this as somehow “offensive” or “in poor taste” considering there were 1,772 fentanyl and other synthetic opioid overdose deaths in Virginia last year. But don’t twist his words! Glenn was clear that it was only those in the crowd who disagreed with him who supported community-destroying opioids.

Everyone else was just swell. Duh!

Here at Spirit of America, we felt we needed to weigh in and share our own uninformed yet no less passionate thoughts about Glenn’s courage, conviction, and bold message that is sure to capture countless hearts and minds.

Read our brief statement below:

“Despite unprecedented disrespect and derision, Glenn, ever the scion of good taste and thoughtful rhetoric, powered through his speech, using the Labor Day holiday to rightly accuse the imagined millions of illegal immigrants probably pouring into Virginia of sexual assault, violence, and drug crimes.

No matter how disruptive the far-left crowd became, Glenn kept his cool and made a well-reasoned argument: brainwashed residents who would dare question his authority are clearly supportive of deadly narcotics.

We believe Glenn’s remarks at the Buena Vista Labor Day event were kind, policy-focused, and shook the liberal bastion that is Southwest Virginia to its very blue core. Glenn is an astute political operator, and would never joke about the opioid crisis in order to make a crass political point.

So get a grip! We’re proud of Glenn, and because we’ve gotten a few emails and we’ve done it before, we’ve been encouraged to say that we’re proud of Lt. Governor Winsome Sears and her ‘speech’ at the same event, too…we guess.”
